Σχεδιάζοντας την νέα κολεξιόν..

Η μέρα σήμερα αρκετά γεμάτη. Συναντηθήκαμε νωρίς το μεσημέρι και αφού περάσαμε κάποιες ώρες στην παραλία και συζητήσαμε χαλαρά τις ιδέες και τις σκέψεις μας κλειστήκαμε στο ατελιέ και χαθήκαμε σε νέες τεχνικές και σχέδια που θα θέλαμε να δοκιμάσουμε. Το διάστημα που ακολουθεί πρέπει να βρούμε τα υφάσματα που θα χρησιμοποιήσουμε για τα σχέδια που τελικά θα υλοποιήσουμε.

The day was quite full. We met early in the afternoon and after we spent  a few hours at the beach  we talked about our new ideas and thoughts. Then we stayed  in the studio and focused  into new techniques and projects we would like  to try. In the following days, we must find the fabrics that we will use for the projects that we will eventually materialize.

Η ανεργία καλπάζει, ακόμη κι όσοι έχουν δουλειά βλέπουν το εισόδημά τους να
μειώνεται καθημερινά, φόντο σε όλα αυτά είναι η μιζέρια, οπότε... τι κάνουμε;
Κλαίμε μπροστά στην τηλεόραση; Για κάποιους αυτό είναι λύση. Για τις δύο
κοπέλες από την Αθήνα που συνιστούν το e-shop του διάσημου www.etsy.com με
την ονομασία RiRUdesigns, όμως, η παθητικότητα όχι απλώς δεν είναι λύση αλλά
το μεγαλύτερο πρόβλημα απ’ όλα. Και μ’ αυτό το σκεπτικό αποφάσισαν να τα
βάλουν κάτω: «Πιάνουν τα χέρια μας» σκέφτηκαν. «Το γούστο δεν μας λείπει. Τι
χρειάζεται; Πολλή (και, προπαντός, πολύ πιο σκληρή απ’ όσο ίσως νομίζει κανείς!)
δουλειά, κέφι, πίστη και όραμα». Το αποτέλεσμα; Το e-shop
www.etsy.com/shop/rirudesigns. Ένα από τα πιο «λαμπερά» ελληνικά e-μαγαζιά,
που πουλάει φιλοτεχνημένα στο χέρι σανδάλια, χειροποίητες μπουτουνιέρες και
clutches και... «από φθινόπωρο βλέπουμε», όπως λένε στη «City Press» η Ri και η
Ru - από τα αρχικά των ονομάτων τους βαφτίστηκε το μαγαζί. Άψογης αισθητικής
προϊόντα, εξαιρετικά προσεγμένα κείμενα, φωτογραφίσεις, συσκευασίες και...
logo, δώρο με τα σανδάλια ένα χειροποίητο scrub ποδιών (!), ονομασίες
εμπνευσμένες από την ελληνική μυθολογία, τιμές που εκπλήσσουν ευχάριστα.
Δουλειά που (δικαίως) θα ζήλευαν επαγγελματίες, από δύο φίλες που, μεταξύ
κακοπληρωμένης, πλέον, εξοντωτικής δουλειάς η μία και ημι-ανεργίας η άλλη,
απλώς αρνούνται σε όσο χρόνο τους απομένει να πειθαρχήσουν στο
καταθλιπτικό, στρεβλό μήνυμα υποταγής των καιρών: «Περιμένετε και κάποιοι
κάποτε θα σας σώσουν». Κανείς δεν θα μας σώσει αν πρώτοι δεν σώσουμε τους
εαυτούς μας. Το Rirudesigns είναι το πιο τρανταχτό παράδειγμα για το πώς
ξεκινάει μια τέτοια διαδικασία...
